Free Guided Walks And Events From Friends Of Castle Meadows

              

Thursday, April 27
  ‘The Myths and Magic of plants’ with Fiona Ford at Castle Meadows, Abergavenny. Meet at 7pm in the Byfield Lane car park.


Saturday, April 29
 ‘Geology Walk’ with Alan Underwood. Learn how Castle Meadows were formed. Meet at 10am in Byfield Lane car park.

Friday, May 5
 ‘Evening Bat Walk’ with Mark Langley. Meet at 8.30pm in Byfield Lane car park.

Saturday, May 13
 ‘Bird Walk’ with Steve Butler. See sand martins feeding their young. Meet at 9am in Byfield Lane car park.  Bring binoculars.

Saturday, June 10
 ‘Flowers and plants’ with Sheelagh Kerry. Meet 10am in Byfield Lane car park.

Saturday, June 24
 ‘Pond dipping’ with Rebecca Ward. Meet at 2pm at the Mill Street Entrance.  

Saturday, July 8
‘Butterfly Walk’ with Jeff Davies. Meet 11am in the Byfield Lane car park.

Saturday, July 15
 ‘Bug hunt’ with Rebecca Ward.  Meet at 2pm in Byfield Lane car park.


Walks organised by the Friends of Castle Meadows are free and last between two and three hours. Please wear suitable footwear.  Dogs on leads only. Mobility scooters can be booked in advance from Abergavenny Shopmobility 0800 298 3656. Walks may be cancelled due to weather conditions.
