Love Lily Flower School - New Dates

If you're looking to learn something new why not try Love Lily Flower School! Wedding Flowers magazine rated the Flower School as one of 'The Best Flower Schools' running in the UK.  Classes have been designed for beginners, floral arrangers and anyone wishing to try their hand at floristry.  The classes are fun filled, relaxed and are guaranteed enjoyment!

BRIDAL FLOWERS, 10-4pm, £95 per person, Love Lily Design Studio
Want to do your own wedding flowers? Or help out your daughter or a friend? Then this full day class is essential! The team will teach you the basics of Bridal floristry, from assisting you to make a Bridal bouquet, to wiring techniques for buttonholes & corsages.  
Full day course held at the Love Lily Design Studio, with refreshments & a light lunch provided.

‘MERRY CHRISTMAS’ - DOOR WREATH & TABLE CENTRE, 9.30-4pm, £150 per person (£85 half day), The Angel Hotel, Abergavenny
In the morning the team will demonstrate how to make a festive table centre using seasonal stems & foliages. Then its over to you, with the team on hand to assist of course! Following lunch they will demonstrate how to make the matching door wreath which means you get to go home with a ready made floral Christmas to decorate your table & door!
Full day* course, with refreshments, mulled wine, mince pies & lunch.
*You are also able to attend either the morning or the afternoon session only, with lunch at a cost of £85 per person.

Need to create a large display? Want to understand more about scale & proportion? This masterclass will guide you through designing a large pedestal arrangement. Step by step instruction to enable you to create an arrangement of this size.

INTENSIVE TRAINING
ONE WEEK TRAINING COURSE - dates available on request
A one week intense training course for those wishing to have a crash course in floristry training. The course is delivered on a one-to-one basis and is ideal for anyone wishing to become a florist or enter the industry. We can provide a range of industry based courses, from Wedding Flowers to Retail Floristry. Each day will cover theory as well as practical experience. All materials will be provided but we recommend that you bring a camera, workbook & pen. No video cameras allowed.
Five full days held at the Love Lily Design Studio, refreshments provided but you are required to provide your own lunch.

THREE DAY TRAINING COURSE - dates available on request
A three day training course for those wishing to have a crash course in floristry training. The course is delivered on a one-to-one basis and is ideal for anyone wishing to become a florist or enter the industry. BESPOKE BOOKINGS
Fancy something different for a Hen Party or a Birthday Party? Then our tailor made packages are the perfect thing! A fun girly get together, get the Bride to try & make her own bouquet, or the perfect birthday gift for a flower loving friend. Our bespoke classes are so much fun!
We can accommodate groups of up to 24.
Timings can be altered to suit, dates based on availability, costs vary. Can also include refreshments, champagne & catering.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We will provide all materials required by each student for each class but we recommend that you bring an apron, a camera, notepad & a pen. A deposit of £50 is required to secure a place on each class. The remaining balance is due one week prior to the class. A £25 fee will  e deducted if you wish to transfer or cancel a booking. The deposit is non refundable if cancellation is less than one month prior to the commencement of the course.

The Chapel Now Open

We're delighted to announce The Chapel is now open, the newly opened Chapel is an extension of the wonderful Art Shop in Abergavenny Town Centre. The Chapel is a hub of all things creative and display beautiful art, host exhibitions and also teach various art classes, whilst also serving delicious food and drinks.

This unique and incredible place is run by the same family who run the Angel Hotel and if you're familiar with this hotel you know what a truly great experience it is. (If you're not so familiar with it then it's worth a trip to both - you won't be dissapointed).

1 Afternoon tea at The Angel Hotel

3 Take in the history of Abergavenny's Castle & Museum

Abergavenny Museum is set in the grounds of a 'ruined' Norman Castle, where you can enjoy a picnic during the summer and a brisk walk on colder days. The museum building was formerly a hunting lodge built by the Marquess of Abergavenny.
The displays tell the story of this historic market town from prehistory through to the present day. 4 Do a Spot of Walking

There's some beautiful walking spots around Abergavenny with wonderful scenery that will not disappoint including the Sugarloaf, Blorenge, Skirrid Fawr and the Brecon Beacons isn't far away either. For families join the National Trust Easter Adventure in the Woods 10am-3pm

Join rangers for an Easter adventure into St Mary’s Vale. Follow the Easter trail to discover some tasty treats, as well as damming a stream, making a mud pie and building a den. Don’t forget to bring a picnic. Meet at the lower Llanwenarth car park (SO 271163) and bring a waterproof jacket, warm, comfortable clothes, walking boots or wellies and a picnic. There is a gradual climb onto the Llanwenarth, but a steeper descent and ascent into St Mary’s Vale, which is often muddy. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs on leads welcome. 5 Experience the Abergavenny markets

Situated in the middle of the town known as the Gateway to Wales, Abergavenny
Tuesday Market is well known as one of the major markets in Wales.
Visitors come from far and wide to enjoy a traditional indoor & outdoor market, with
over 200 stands selling a huge range of goods.

Less well known, but equally worth a visit are the Friday and Saturday Markets.
The Friday Market is an indoor only event but still offers over 60 stalls with
something to interest everyone.
The Saturday Market was established over 13 years ago and is now both indoors as well as outdoors with approximately 100 stalls.

Other events held in the Market Hall include Farmers Markets, Craft Fairs, Antique
Fairs, Flea Markets, Arts & Crafts Fairs and the annual Abergavenny Food Festival.
