The Christmas Abergavenny Food Festival was busy this year with lots of exciting events. The Cheese and Whites event on 8th December at Homes of Elegance kicked off the festival and was a great night. Please see the pictures below.

Exciting Love Lily News!

Love Lily has launched its very own Flower School

Love Lily have their new Flower School starting in December! Wedding Flowers magazine rated the Flower School as one of 'The Best Flower Schools' running in the UK.  The classes have been designed for beginners, floral arrangers and anyone wishing to try their hand at floristry.  The classes are fun filled, relaxed and are guaranteed enjoyment!

Love Lily have one class date left for December which is Tuesday 18th,
'DECK THE HALLS'class, 9-5pm.
 
The Class will be held at the Angel Hotel, Abergavenny - the course is a full
day of festive flower arranging, where you'll make a table centre & a
door wreath guided by the Love Lily team, all to take home at the end of the
day. A wonderful & fun class!

Abergavenny Food Events!

The next few weeks are exciting for Abergavenny as we have some great food events taking place throughout November and December to kick start the festive season.

Wednesday 21st November, 6pm-9pm- Abergavenny Food Workshop Christmas Shopping Evening

Saturday 8th December, 6pm-7pm- Abergavenny Christmas Food Festival launch event at Homes of Elegance


Sunday 9th December, 10am-5pm- Abergavenny Christmas Food & Drink Fair
  


Abergavenny Food Workshop 

On Wednesday 21st November, 6pm-9pm, Abergavenny Food Workshop will be holding a festive food shopping evening at Unit 2 Castle Meadows Park Abergavenny.

The event will includea cookery demonstration for Christmas Entertaining by Mark Coulton from Sugarloaf Catering.




The event will also include stalls from local food producers including:

The Burren Bread Company (porter cakes and soda bread)
Foodworkshop ( award winning  condiments and gift vouchers)
Hardwick Hampers (homemade hampers)

On Sunday 9th December the third Christmas Food & Drink Fair will be taking place in Abergavenny which will include:

Fabulous exhibitors from Wales, the Marches and further afield. 
Food will include fresh and cured meats, poultry and game, cheeses and chocolates, cakes and desserts, wines and liquers, ales and cider. 
Demonstrations throughout the day to help you up your game in the kitchen and host the best Christmas ever.

Monmouthshire’s business winners of 2012!

The winners of the first ever Monmouthsire Business Awards were announced at a evening award ceremony on Friday 5th October.

Over 130 representatives from the County's business community gathered at The Angel Hotel, Abergavenny on Friday (October 5th) to find out which businesses had won the honours across 11 award catagories.

Janet Harris states, “This was a fantastic amount of entries and the judging panel, chaired by Dylan Matthew, MD of The Celtic Manor Resort, were impressed by the calibre of entrants and found the judging to be challenging but most enjoyable.”

The judging panel consisted of a representative from each of the category sponsors together with Jo Barnes of the South Wales Argus (Media Partner), Steve Sulley of South Wales Chamber, Monmouthshire County Council and Alyson Hunt of the Welsh Government Regional Centre Service.

Building on this successful 2012 event, plans have commenced for a bigger event for Monmouthshire Business Awards 2013.

Abergavenny Food Festival

This September Abergavenny is all about food and there's plenty happening to fill you up for this month. Abergavenny Food festival is taking place on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of September, so put the date in your diary and join us for what will be a weekend for all to indulge.



But if two days of food just isn't enough for all you food lovers why not enjoy four days with Pre festival events that are taking place on the 13th and 14th.
